Hemanta’s Family Trip To Dubai Had The Best Of Royalty & Luxury

The grandest of places often have a story that fits the billing.  Read the enticing account of Hemanta’s family trip to Dubai as they witnessed the benchmark in luxury and dedication. Their trip cost them a total of INR 2,00,000 which included their flights, transfers, visa, accommodation, sightseeing, and meals.

Traveling has been a hobby that I’ve always held dear to my heart. So I decided to explore other parts of the world with my family. I heard a lot of good about Dubai from my friends.

Camel ride and desert safari in Dubai

While searching for packages on the internet, I came across TravelTriangle which gave us the lucrative option to customize the tour package according to our needs. So, I dropped a query with TravelTriangle and soon got a call back from their representative.

He understood our requirements and connected us to various agents. Soon, I started receiving multiple offers from different agents regarding my inquiry for a family tour package to Dubai. I selected the best quotation given to me by ‘Booking Squad’ travel agency.

Just like that, the formalities were done swiftly, and soon enough we were jet setting on our way to the land of the sheikhs to have a taste of the Arabic culture.

Day 1: Cruising Middle-eastern style

Hemanta and his family in Dubai

We boarded our flight from Mumbai at 1pm and arrived at the Dubai international airport at 3 pm. Upon our arrival, the driver was present to receive and take us to the hotel. We checked into the hotel at 4 pm and rested for a while.

The excitement was growing as we were scheduled to go on Dhow Cruise in the evening. The Dhow Cruise was a throwback to the medieval era as we got a chance to witness Dubai’s rich history in the Arabian peninsula.

Sightseeing in Abu Dhabi

There was a host of activities for us to enjoy like the Tanura Dance Show, star gazing the illuminated sky, and enjoying the finger licking food. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening at the Dhow Cruise. As it got later in the night, we proceeded back to the hotel and retired for the night.

Day 2: Safari in the biggest desert in the world

Hemanta's wife enjoying the sunset

The day began with a healthy breakfast, followed by which our taxi that was present at 9 am to take us on a half-day Dubai. The tour began with a trip to visit one of the world’s most iconic hotels- Burj Al-Arab.

Entering the hotel gave a feel of a hollywood movie set. The grandeur of Burj-al-arab was simply humbling. Afterwards, we moved to the Palm Jumeriah beach. The lovely construction of houses and property in the the shape of a Palm at the Jumeirah beach, and Jumeirah mosque  reminded us of the architectural might that Dubai holds in the 21st century.

Next up for us was Al Fahidi Fort, one of the most quaintly picturesque places in Dubai. The fort gives the tourists a rare insight into the medieval lives of United Arab Emirates. As soon as the tour got over, we had lunch.Post lunch, we got together with the driver again and he took us to the desert for a sand dune jeep safari.

Witnessing the magnificent Dubai Skyline

As the sun set on yet another action packed day, we moved back to the hotel for some rest and food. After dinner, we all just chose to relax and enjoy in the hotel premises.

Day 3 & 4: Malls, aquariums and one-of-a-kind theme parks

Visiting the Underwater theme park

The next day was scheduled to be a leisure day for us. So, we woke up will ample laziness and got on to doing a heavy brunch. Post that, I accompanied my family to the Gold Souk to buy some ornaments.

And as the saying goes, ” all that glitters is not gold “ held true, as we bought some rare and aromatic spice herbs. After spending the day emptying my pockets, the evening we decided to explore the underwater aquarium.

Our night was topped off with a visit to the tallest building in the world – Burj Khalifa. The view from the top most accessible floor for general public was stunningly panoramic. Afterwards, we saw the daily evening  fountain show in the streets of Dubai, just outside the Burj Khalifa. We returned back to the hotel at 9 pm, had dinner, and went to sleep.

Ferrari Theme park in Dubai

The next morning, we woke up and got ready early for the city tour of Abu Dhabi. The day included visits to places like the Grand Mosque, Ferrari World and the local street market to purchase dry fruits likes dates which are a speciality of this corner of the world.

Ferrari World for my boys, was like a nostalgic trip down memory lane. Knowing them for so many years, the excitement on their faces was clearly visible seeing them explore a theme park based on their favorite childhood car.

Day 5 & 6: Shopping in luxurious malls

Trying out the traditional dress in Dubai

Another leisure day for us began with a lazy breakfast. With luxury not being at a premium, Dubai made sure that it makes all of its visiting people are treated like kings and queens.

Though the whole day was free, we went to Mall of Emirates, Ibn Battuta Mall for some further shopping. During the afternoon, we decided to try a local restaurant for lunch. As our legs grew increasingly tired from walking the acres and acres of commercial land which is a night bad.

Finally, the last day of our trip was upon us. We checked out of the hotel after having breakfast and the driver dropped us to airport from where we took a return flight back to Mumbai.

Marvelous mosque in UAE

High Points:

  • Visiting the world’s tallest market
  • Dhow Cruise was a unique and an unforgettable experience

Tips to Travelers:
